Yesterday & Today

Yesterday was a beautiful day out! Just check out the picture, I felt like I was looking at a painting!  I did rather well, I believe!  Hit 3 miles in a hour and I enjoyed every second of it!  I wish that I could have walked longer today [03/24/12] But I offered to walk my neighbors dog Bruno.  He is a 5 month old Alaskan Malamute and is most definitely not leashed trained.  Also I didn't head out until almost 2 o'clock and Justin had to leave at 2:40.  I did NOT want to go out today.  I woke up in a super grouchy mood, which turned into a migraine.
I got off my butt and went out for a walk.  The fresh air and the slight breeze mixed in with the nice 65 degree weather and sun I felt rejuvenated and so much better.  While walking Bruno I let Bella off her leash because it was getting difficult with both leashes and what does that goof ball do, jumps into this water/swampy area and I had to drag her out!  At least she felt better and was all frisky afterwards! Now she is passed out and I can not wait to do the same thing!

But Treven doesn't go to bed until 8! So not too much longer! Also I did my Turbo Fire today and guess how many calories I burned today? In just over an hour of workout combined I burned 887 calories!  How amazing is that!!!  Pretty amazing if you ask me!  It's great that the more I work out and the lower the number gets on the scale the better I am feeling about myself!  However, I know that going to church and doing my bible studies has made a huge difference in restoring my sense of self.  I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!

Motivated

I actually went out today.  Granted I waited until 7 pm to go, eek! But I brought Bella (my dog) with me since I knew that it would be dark out before I made it back home.  I set my goal for 4 miles and tried to get it done as fast as I could.  I did it in about 1 hour 13 minutes! Wow! However since I have taken time off, I think I was a little ambitious! I probably should have only gone 2 miles today.  And my heels with their ugly red blisters can confirm that.  However I feel great! I took a few pictures from my walk tonight. I am so thankful for the beauty I see around me.

Losing that 10 pounds and realizing that I can easily do a little more and lose even more weight truly motivated me!!  I also want to thank Amanda R for the comment on my last post, it made me think! You are right, who cares what it is like outside, you're just gonna get wet when you get home anyway! I hope everyone has a wonderful nigth! God Bless you!

Ticking Down

I went to the Doctors on the 16th to "pull the goalie" which is very exciting.  What's more exciting is that fully clothed, (shoes, jeans, hoodie) I weighed in at 234.6 pounds! How awesome is that! So I waited until today to strip down and weigh myself! I am very happy to say that I have lost 10 pounds!!! I am so happy.  I haven't walked in about 2 weeks, but with the random rain, hail, slush, snow and wind storms, sometimes all in the same day, I was like heck no I am not going out there!!! But I am so happy that I've lost this weight mostly by doing portion control! I eat until I start to feel full and then I stop! I haven't been drinking as much water as I should, so I think I am going to start trying to drink 4 glasses of water a day and go up from there!
